近年では香港をベースにプロジェクトの展示を行い、今回の札幌滞在からプロジェクトをさらに深めていく予定です。この展示では、主にドローイングやリトグラフの技法を用い、札幌と香港の特色のコラボレーションを試みます。
“Combo”, means a combination of people or things. As Hong Kong young artists, Kenneth and Cubbie are keen on exploring different visual elements and cultural practices within the two cities, Hong Kong and Sapporo. Showing the observations by combining the elements in their own visual language.
クビー・ソウ /蘇藹襦 CUBBIE SO
香港浸会大学ビジュアルアート学部に在籍中。数年間ギャラリーアシスタントとしてアート・バーゼルに参加し、同時に幼児絵画教室の講師として勤務。主に版画やイラストレーションの表現を用いて、線や物の細部への興味、些細なできごとの観察や日常の中の風景から作品を制作している。
So Oi Yu, Cubbie is now studying in Academy of Visual Art in Hong Kong Baptist University as a final year student. She participated in the Basel for a few years, working as gallery assistance. At the same time as an art tutor, teaching children drawing class. She works on printmaking and illustrations. Interested in lines and details of objects, she usually creates her works by observing trivial scenes or views during her daily life.
ケネス・チャン /張梓軒 KENNETH CHANG
1992年香港生まれ。香港浸会大学でビジュアルアートを学び、2014年に卒業。イラストレーションや人物デッサンのようなグラフィックアートに興味があり、大学在学中は、グラフィックアートに没頭。人や物、風景などの、一見気づきにくい事柄に関心を寄せ、作品を制作している。
Chang Tsz Hin, Kenneth, was born in Hong Kong, 1992. He studied Visual Arts in HK
Baptist University and graduated in 2014. Kenneth is interested in graphic arts like illustration and figure drawing. During the studying period in university, he always focused on graphic art practicing. Kenneth pays attention on things that are easily being oblivious, like men, objects or scenes.
